This time I come complete with a whole chain of haiku inspired by the prompt “change”. And this, my dear, is a change.

    DROMEDARY TRICKS

    rich man wants to go
heard heaven’s streets paved with gold
    buys himself tall church

    buys himself tall church
but God requires of rich men
    dromedary tricks

    dromedary tricks
    camel must pass needle’s eye
    man buys huge needle

    man buys huge needle
    when camel doesn’t fit he
    orders the beast cooked

    orders the beast cooked
    pureed into camel soup
    it still won’t squish through

    it still won’t squish through
decides he’ll change all God’s rules
    brings lawyers and cash

    brings lawyers and cash
    smiles through leveraged buy-out
    makes God hit the road

    makes God hit the road
    installs elevator and
    sells tickets at gate

        plumbers arrive with the thingie
and make a big puddle of
        you don’t want to know

Never imagined seeing the word “thingie” in a a haiku. Leave it to you. 😉
