Sing it, sister: “haiku overcoooooooomes, haiku overcooooooooomes, haiku overcomes, some, daaaaaaaaaay…..” πŸ˜‰

                      For the profit mills
                      They are always ravenous –
                      We stand united

I love the old Civil Rights songs and the old Union Songs, don’t you?

                      the zombies come back
but they’re not very happy –
                      scabbing with pitchforks

We’ve lost a lot of ground with both unions and civil rights. I was an old AFL-CIO member in the early 70’s. The union was the only way I got a living wage and benefits.

                      scabbing with pitchforks
we all walk the picket line

                    4. J

People gripe and complain about unions -but they forget that without a union they’d be working weekends and 18 hour days for subsistence wages – even their kids would be working the same long hours and low wages.

                      the company bosses quake –
                      worried ’bout their gold

                    5. Alice Keys

                      worried ’bout their gold
                      belly of greed never filled
                      eats everyone down

Solidarity is essential. The gold-hungry divide us to conquer and enslave. ((insert long-winded rant here)

“this corporations are people” business makes me see red…!

                      “corporations live
                      only on paper, silly!” –
                      “not so,” says the Court

                    7. Alice Keys

Me, too! And IMMORTAL people at that. We’re ruled by paper Gods now.

                      “not so,” says the Court
                      corporation owns the law
                      nowhere for people
